Franchise Development Consultant

You will work closely with the owners of the company, the regional director and our membership- including the most passionate group of business owners around. Because you are supporting a network of business owners, you must excel in many different areas. You should be able to apply your skills in technology, organizational change, marketing, legal issues, financial analysis, dispute resolution, communication, and trend analysis. The members of this staff are all exceptional in their roles and work as a team. This position offers unique growth opportunities for the right candidate.
Key responsibilities may include:
• Communicating company policies and procedures to the brand membership and staff
• Fully comprehending, reviewing and revising franchise documents
• Working with the staff and membership to review all training, communication, performance support, goals and strategies.
• Driving growth through conversions, internal expansion, and acquisitions.
• Communicating with the public regarding our service standards and goals
• Addressing issues and identifying serious issues before they evolve.
• Assisting small business owners in identifying their specific value proposition and developing actions steps to market this value proposition.
• Motivating members of our organization to take action on their business plans.
• Working with the owners of the company and the regional director to develop the annual business plan, quarterly marketing plans, and weekly agenda items.
• Preparing for events and conventions.
• Networking with persons in the industry both within and outside of our organization.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
• 3-5 + years of experience in one or more of the functional areas: Franchising, Consulting, Finance and Accounting, Business Ownership, Other business area.
• Travel throughout northern Illinois on regular basis. Overnight travel required quarterly.
• Flexible work schedule. • Bachelor's degree in Operations, Business, Finance, Marketing, or other related area.
• Entrepreneurial spirit and drive to be successful.
• Ability to analyze data (including finances) and explain findings in easy to understand form.
• Exceptional networking and presentation skills. • Have a passion for business and organizational development.
• Fluent in Microsoft Business Suite (e.g. Excel, Work, PowerPoint).
Ideal Candidate:
• Proven success of ability to working independently.
• Desire to work in process, organization and growth focused environments.
• Excellent leadership, communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to identify, clarify, and resolve issues and risks related to project communications, escalating them as needed.
• Experience in working as a franchisee or with franchisees. Understanding of the franchisee and franchisor relationship.
• Detailed and thorough documentation and follow-through skills.
• Identify areas of opportunity and develop system to address the issue.
• Dispute resolution or compliance background may be helpful.
